Poker is a card game where players compare each other's cards and wager who has the best hand. Players initially bet based on how good they think their cards are compared to the other players. They then take turns matching or exceeding the maximum bet from the previous round or "folding" and losing the amount they've bet so far. This ends once everyone has folded or reached the maximum previous bet. If all but one player folds, that player wins the round and collects the pot without having to reveal their hand. If multiple players match the maximum previous bet they show their cards and the player with the best hand wins.
